Opening/Closing Ceremonies

See the talent coming to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies!

 

The Opening Ceremony  will be held on Sunday, July 18 at 3:00pm at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.

 

A limited number of tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at 

the Bob Devaney Sports Center Will Call on Sunday, July 18 from 12pm to 3pm We encourage you to tune in live at 3:00pm CST to watch the Opening Ceremony that will be broadcast on NET2 statewide in Nebraska. It will also be broadcast in Lincoln on Channels 5 and 21 and replayed on the Nebraska On Demand Channels on Time Warner Cable. 


Out of state viewers may watch the Opening Ceremony via webcast on www.2010specialolympics.org. 

 

 

The Youth Rally Closing Ceremony will be held on Friday, July 23 at 7:00pm at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. 

 

A limited number of tickets will be available for the Youth Rally Closing 

Ceremony for youth (ages 10 to 16) that wish to attend the event. A two-ticket 

limit will be applied per youth and are free of charge. Tickets will be available on 

a first-come, first-serve basis at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Box Office from 

12pm to 8pm CST on Wednesday, July 21 and Thursday, July 22, and from 

12pm to 7pm CST on Friday, July 23.

Athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and family members come together by the thousands to kick off The Games and to bring the competition to a close.
