The 2009 National Invitational Golf & Softball Tournament will kick off next Friday, July 31, with the Opening Ceremony. Competitions begin on Saturday, August 1. Golfers will compete at Highlands and Mahoney Golf Courses in one of five levels of play including Individual Skills, both 9 & 18-Hole Alternate Shot Team Play, and 9 & 18-Hole Individual Stroke Play. Softball teams will compete at Fleming Fields in Traditional Slow Pitch Team Competition and Unified Sports Slow Pitch Team Competition.
U.S. Programs that are sending teams include: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
