Special Olympics Town

An important part of the special Olympics for the special athletes as well as the many people that come out to the special events, to watch and support, is the area at the headquarters of the games known as the Special Olympics Town. This area is dedicated to providing a fun and friendly atmosphere to athletes and fans with entertainment and extracurricular activities available for all who come. The site is also one that promotes inclusion between athletes and fans as well as an educational and wholesome experience for all. The supplemental entertainment that Special Olympics Town hosts often includes performances by known artists and other activities such as dances, picnics and cultural festivals. There are also many other social events available to the public and athletes. These events serve to entertain as well as educate the public about the games and to encourage the respect of diversity and tradition.

In addition to the special Olympics Town which is held in the headquarters, there is also a festival which takes place during the World Games. The festival has a similar purpose as special Olympics Town in that it is used to educate as well as entertain athletes and guests of the in addition to constituent groups. The constituent groups that come to the special Games use the festival to exhibit their support and have an activity showcase. Though the event is mostly held by constituents it is necessary for everyone participating to know that the event as well as the Town are mainly for the athletes and to promote them and the event as a whole. These Olympics and the events that surround them are loved by many for the good job they do of promoting the athletes that take part in them.
